McCluskiegunj Railway Station
There were times that I recall when we had to climb over stationary goods trains to cross from one platform to the other.
We used to climb in-between bogies that mostly carry coal and had to step on the connectors that connected bogies together and would mess up our hands by holding on to whatever we could to get across.
Even worse, we would crawl under the standing goods trains to board a train going down east. The ticket counter is close to the up line that goes west. That is if we didn't wish to dirty ourselves by climbing across. We use to hope that the signal remains red while doing so.
This is a common practice at small stations even now but not in the Gunj. We now have a footbridge and since this has been built, we now use either of the two roads that go to the station which was something to consider before.
